Welcome

If you are interested in parenthood, have been trying to conceive without success, have already been diagnosed with infertility or an infertility-related condition, or are interested in preserving your fertility through oocyte cryopreservation (egg freezing) or embryo banking - welcome to my website.

My wealth of knowledge includes infertility, fertility preservation, fertility options and gynecologic surgery, with particular areas of expertise being in vitro fertilization (IVF), oocyte cryopreservation (egg freezing), embryo banking, intrauterine insemination and reproductive surgical procedures. I am here to help.

As a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist, I have been involved in the treatment of over 30,000 infertility patients. My practice offers a full range of assisted reproductive technologies, including:

  • Oocyte Cryopreservation (Egg Freezing) and Embryo Banking
  • In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
  • Preimplantation Genetic Testing of Embryos (PGT-A and PGT-M)
  • Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
  • Ovulation Induction (Superovulation)
  • Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

**Special Notice**

As the result of an unprecedented medical situation involving COVID-19, the Northwell Health Fertility Program has immediately discontinued offering IVF, Egg Freezing or Embryo Banking procedures as well as all other non-essential medical and surgical treatments related to fertility. As an additional safety measure for both patients and staff, I am currently offering fertility care predominantly through phone consultation until the Coronavirus infectious wave has subsided. The duration of the assisted reproductive technology (ART) laboratory closure will be determined largely by U.S. governing authorities. When the re-open date becomes available, it will be posted on this site.

In the meantime, I am available most weekdays to schedule a call and address your medical needs, whether it be for upcoming fertility care or fertility preservation for the future. I am eager to provide individualized fertility-related counseling and diagnostic work-up to the level possible. Once consultation has occurred, where applicable, fertility testing and treatment planning - including completion of prerequisite tests, review of educational materials and procedure consenting - necessary to embark on (or continue) ART (IVF, Egg Freezing and/or Embryo Banking) or any other fertility-enhancing treatments will be scheduled in preparation for the actual treatment that will occur when safely feasible.

In 2019, I moved my clinical practice from New York University (NYU) to Northwell Health and became the System Chief for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. This is an exciting opportunity for me, allowing me to continue my practice, expand my academic footprint and to rejoin forces with world-renowned embryologist, scientist and laboratory director, Dr. Mina Alikani. Our goal was to create the leading Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Center: staffed by the best team, technologically superior, care-driven and patient-centric. Northwell invested $25 million to build a spectacular, new, state-of-the-art, patient-friendly (AAAASF-certified) fertility-care facility in Manhattan designed to Dr. Alikani's and my specifications.
